We’re about to enter the 4th competitive day (out of 9 in total) in the Group Stage of BTS Pro Series Season 3 Europe/CIS. Here’s how the situation looks so far and what you can expect next.

BTS Pro Series Season 3 Europe/CIS Results

BTS Pro Series Season 3 Europe/CIS is a tier 2 regional event that features some decent teams, such as Ninjas in Pyjamas and Vikin.gg, and a lot of lesser-known or lesser-skilled teams, such as Khan, B8, and others. Here’s a complete list of the participants:

  • Ninjas in Pyjamas
  • gg
  • 5men
  • Khan
  • B8
  • Team Unique
  • Team Empire
  • HellRaisers
  • mudgolems

No less than 8 of these 9 competitors will advance to the Playoffs. The only question is: who will be in the top 4 and who will be last? I’ll try to answer these questions in a moment. But first, here’s how the standings table looks after the first 3 days:

  • 1st place: Vikin.gg: 7 W – 1 L (counted by individual rounds)
  • 2nd place: Ninjas in Pyjamas: 4 W – 0 L
  • 3rd place: Khan: 4 W – 2 L
  • 4th place: mudgolems: 4 W – 2 L
  • 5th place: Team Unique: 2 W – 2 L
  • 6th place: HellRaisers: 2 W – 2 L
  • 7th place: Team Empire: 1 W – 3 L
  • 8th place: 5men: 0 W – 4 L
  • 9th place: B8: 0 W – 8 L

Predictions

From what we’ve seen so far and from the overall skill-level of these teams, you can definitely expect Vikin.gg, NiP, and mudgolems to finish in the top 4. Other likely candidates for the last remaining spot at the top are HellRaisers and 5men.

In HellRaisers’ case, the fact that Lil, funn1k, and nongrata are there gives this team a lot of potential. All of these players have a high ceiling and if they start playing well as a unit, they will get excellent results at this competitive level.

In 5men’s case, the same thing is true but at an even higher level. Just look at their roster: Ace, Misery, PieLieDie, Chessie, and Xibbe. At least 3 of these players are world-class and have succeeded at the highest level of the professional circuit. Don’t get fooled by the fact that 5men is currently 8th in the standings table with 0 game wins. Their first two opponents were mudgolems (FATA’s newest team) and Vikin.gg (a very strong competitor). In their easier matches, 5men will likely get a lot of draws and wins. So when all is said and done, they will likely be in the top 4.

Last Place

When it comes to the question of the last place, I think it’s safe to assume that B8 is the prime candidate. This team is an absolute disaster and has been since its inception. Their win rate is abysmal and apart from Dendi, no one does anything significant. Some of the team’s players shouldn’t even compete at this level before proving themselves in lower-tier tournaments.
