Over the years, Epic Games has upheld this tradition of bringing new and exciting features to the Fortnite game every Halloween, and with each new upgrade, the game moves to an all-new epic level. This year’s 2021 Halloween is no different from the previous ones, and Fortnite enthusiasts are on their tippy-toes, waiting patiently for them to drop the bombshell. As Halloween draws near in the next few weeks, judging from leaks, teasers and past events, we’re expecting the Fortnite Season 8 to come with:

  • New skins
  • Upgraded brand of weapons
  • New monsters
  • The final boss
  • A cube town

If our predictions are correct, here’s how we think that things will play out in the new season of our favorite game.

If you’ve been paying attention, you’ll notice that the golden cube (the Queen) started moving around the map, and every other cube on the island has been following her cue. While spanning the entire map, the Queen has also been laying baby cubes in the process. These cubes are arranged in some kind of ringed line, heading towards the center of the map. The buzz on the streets says that when these cubes converge at their destination, the Queen will fix them all together to form a giant Cube Town. This will definitely be amazing, so you should expect some spookiness at the center of the island in a few weeks when Fortnite Season 8 goes live.

Return of the Horde Rush

On last year’s edition of Fortnite, we went head to head with the storm king, and it was a thrilling experience. This Halloween, Epic is sending different types of zombies our way. And while we fight for survival and to save our dearest island, we’ll be getting a new kind of arsenal with new chests, assorted weapons to fight against the horde of Fiends invading our precious island.

The Horde Rush LTM is coming with some cool stuff both for you and for your enemies.

They include

  • Spawn Obelisks Chests filled with assorted weapons
  • Score multipliers for you to collect and beef up your arsenal so you can eliminate nearby zombies and monsters.
  • Ability to be invisible to zombies.

New zombies are coming with some scary abilities such as freezing ability, inbuilt explosives, poisons, and extra strength.

  • The white zombie can freeze your legs and make you slide all over the place, trying to regain your body movement.
  • The red zombies will come with explosives like Minecraft’s creepers. They could blow you up if you get too close while trying to kill them.
  • The green zombies will spread a deadly haze whenever you kill them. This haze will rapidly depreciate your HP if it touches you, so make sure you stay away from them! Just shoot and zoom off.
  • The golden zombies are a powerhouse, very strong and resilient. You’ll need lots of skills and team cooperation to defeat them.

Intel also has it that the Candy Buckets are coming back with a bunch of creepy fugs that’ll make the map so damn hazy. So, brace up!

The Final Boss

The Final Boss is probably the most anticipated feature of the 2021 Halloween Edition of Fortnite. If you recall, in the Season 8 thriller, we saw a hint of this monster, but many people dismissed him as a funny-looking siren sitting on a long lanky skeleton. You, too, could have dismissed him as some weak monster you’ll blow away with a single bullet. Well, in Season 8, he’s coming to be a thorn in your flesh!

According to leaks, the final boss will be a sideways monster codenamed “Caretaker.” He will be the final boss of Horde LTM, and he’d all have to face him at Battle Royale. In fact, there’ll be three of them scattered on the map per match.

Don’t panic now! This monster would indeed be quite hard to take on, but when you finally defeat him, you’ll get rewards that’ll be worth your effort. Whenever you successfully eliminate the final boss, he’ll drop 50 cubes, shards, heals, and other mythical weapons like pumps, dual fiend hunters, shotguns, sideways scythe, etc.

Now imagine grabbing all of these loot from defeating just a single Final Boss!

What’s more?

Leaks also have it that Epic will be bringing back the Pumpkin launcher in Fortnite Season 8. Also, expect highly advanced kinds of crossbows and different kinds of new skins. Some weeks ago, Epic sent out a secret survey to players, asking them to check out some new skins and make suggestions on what they want to see in the latest version.

The Halloween skins they showed off are really dope. Some of the most intriguing ones for us are the sleek high-tech-looking guy they call Geometric, the ungrateful werewolf named Lone, the creepy Bone Scan called Skeletra, the imperfectly beautiful Joy, and the crazy-looking Clown skin. There’s also an Adriana Grande and Lady Gaga skin and a great possibility that the Queen will be getting a new skin in Season 8.

So, folks, these are the things we know about the 2021 Halloween edition of Fortnite. This season promises to be even more exciting than we have had it in the past. So, we keep our fingers crossed, waiting for a release date, and we will keep you updated when we have more scoop to share.
