Just a matter of months after signing for the Esports team, Nuengnara “23savage” Teeramahanon has been relesed by Vici Gaming. The 18-year-old was acquired by VG back in September, however the Covid-19 pandemic meant that he was unable to play even once for the Chinese organization.

Vici Gaming recently received an invite to compete at the 2021 Dota Pro Circuit China Regional League, Upper Division, an event in which 23savage was due to play a role in. However, with problems having arisen between the player and org, the duo have ultimately gone their separate ways.

Why Vici Gaming Parted Ways With 23savage

Speaking on the departure of Teeramahanon, Vici Gaming stated the following: “the problems raised by the pandemic as well as communication issues discovered through recent training sessions” were the cause of 23savage’s removal from the team. Although we haven’t met in person, we fought towards the same goal. In our next encounter, we may be opponents playing against each other. We hope that 23Savage can find the team that fits himself soon and continues his path to his dream.”

VG was forced into a host of roster changes in 2020, caused in part by the absence of 23savage, as well as losing important players to Elephant. In fact, Vici lost both carry and offlane players at the beginning of the season. Yang “Erica” Shaohan stepped up to the mark in the carry position during the final events of the season, helping VG in winning the OGA Dota PIT Season 2. Vici is likely to stick with its current roster as a result, with the team having also finished in the top 6 of many other regional tournaments.

What the Future Holds for 23Savage

Despite being associated with Vici Gaming, 23savage played for Motivate. Trust Gaming in December. However, his contract was ultimatley ended on January 3, meaning that the teenager will be on the hunt for a new team as a free agent. It remains to be seen as to whether anyone will pick him up befor the start of the new season on January 18.
Speaking following his release, 23savage said that he would soon share his side of events, before writing: “LFT Pos 1 for an upcoming DPC… I will explain more on what happened and my situation.” The first major of the season is set to take place between March 25 and April 4, with season two then concluding between June 2 and June 13.
