In another roster change for Vitality, VALORANT pro Theo “LoWkii” Techene has been released by the organization. The 25-year-old only join Vitality in March this year, with his departure leaving the team with just Bayram “bramz” Ben Redjeb, Jokūbas “ceNder” Labutis, Vakaris “vakk” Bebravičius, and Mohamed Shalaby, with the latter only being a stand-in for the EU VCT: Stage Three Challengers Two.

Vitality broke the news on Thursday, posting the following message via Twitter: “Today we say goodbye to our VALORANT player @LoWkiiTT, thank you for everything and for your good mood! Good luck for the future. The coaching staff is working hard to prepare the future of our VALORANT team, stay tuned!”

Why it has been a busy period for Vitality

The French team recently lost out to both Team Liquid and Team BDS at the EU VCT: Stage Three Challengers Two, meaning that they missed out on qualifying for the Challengers Playoffs. In what has been a period of change for Vitality, Robin “Srab” Borget has joined as manager.

LoWkii had been signed by Vitality alongside Jesse “JESMUND” Terava, who was benched shortly before the EU VCT: Stage Three Challengers Two. LowKii has revealed that he will remain inactive over the coming weeks in order to spend time with his family, before searching for a new challenge. Posting on Twitter, the Frenchman wrote:

“Thank you @TeamVitality for the opportunity & thank you to my teammates for all the great times. I will take a few weeks to enjoy my family & loved ones.”

What does the future hold for Vitality in VALORANT?

It remains to be seen as to whether Vitality will make further roster changes, however it certainly wouldn’t come as a surprise. It could be that shalby is signed on a permanent basis, despite failing to fire Vitality to glory as of yet. The org has been in the VALORANT scene since February, having failed to make an impact at any major events.
