VALORANT – Team Heretics benches Ardiis, Amilwa steps in

Team Heretics announced that they have benched Ardis “ardiis” Svarenieks for the next VALORANT Champions Tour Challengers event and that Amine “Amilwa” Saidi will fill in for him. The reason for the change is ardiis’ health problems.

Team Heretics’ performance declined sharply during the second VCT stage and they failed to qualify for the Challengers main event. Because of this disappointment, Team Heretics made huge lineup changes before the third VCT stage. After replacing almost the entire line-up after Masters Two in Reykjavik, only Christian “loWel” Garcia remained.

How bad is his medical condition?

Ardiis joined the Heretics earlier this month along with Patryk “paTiTek” Fabrowski. However, they also failed to qualify for the VCT Stage Three Challengers One Main Event with the new lineup. Ardiis was unable to perform at his best because of health problems that hampered his performance. The 23-year-old recently said he was “in and out” of the hospital. His health problems led the Heretics to bench Ardiis and replace him with Amilwa.
Team Heretics still has a chance to give it their all at the VCT Stage Three Challengers 2 event and return to the top of European VALORANT.
