Shroud’s team “What’s going on” wins first round of VCT Open Qualifier. Michael “Shroud” Grzesiek dominated his comeback with ease winning the first round in the NA VCT Stage Three Challengers Two Open Qualifier with his VALORANT team. The team consists of Shroud, ShawnBM, Leonardo “Laski” Arroyo, Skyler “Relyks” Weaver and Apex Legends pro and content creator iiTzTimmy.

Shroud emphasized several times on stream that he and his team play primarily for fun and that he has no plans to return to active competition. Nevertheless, they got off to a flying start right away.

Good team performance

Shroud and his team “What’s going on” won their first match against “Damn I Love Fwogs” with 13:6 on “Haven” and then 13:4 on “Bind” . The Streamer had announced previously that he would only play competitively if he could play KAY/O. He did, and had 11 kills and 10 deaths on Haven. He won all of his first round matches with four First Bloods. His teammate ShawnBM led on Cypher with 24 kills and only eight deaths.

On Bind, shroud fittingly took advantage of the shrouded omen, scoring 16 kills and six assists on 11 deaths. On this map, it was Laski who paved the way for What’s going on with 20 kills on Raze and an ACS score of 308 on an impressive 32% headshot rate. Their next match will be against ez5.
