Valorant – Natus Vincere launches VALORANT roster

Natus Vincere, commonly known as Na’Vi, have become the latest Esports organization to enter the VALORANT scene. The Ukrainian org broke the news on June 18, with Kirill “Cloud” Nekhozhin having become their first player. Na’Vi are best known for their CS:GO lineup, with their team here having won a host of tournaments over the years.

Their new VALORANT roster will compete in the VALORANT Champions Tour (VCT). The remainder of the lineup is unknown at this point, with trials set to take place over the coming months. However, we do know that Vladislav “TheVs” Moroz will be the team’s manager.

What Na’Vi Said Upon the Announcement

Speaking on the announement, Na’Vi Chief Operating Officer, Aleksey “xaoc” Kucherov stated that: “VALORANT has developed greatly in the world since its launch. Although the discipline is still at an early stage in the CIS, things are looking promising. Therefore we want to develop the game in our region. Our goal is to bring as many top-ranked players to the world championships as possible.”

Why Cloud Was Signed by Natus Vincere

17-year-old Cloud has made his name as one of the best players in the CIS region, having won the VCT 2021: CIS Challengers on two separate occasions. His VALORANT career to date has seen him play for CrowCrowd and honk, earning him a chance to compete for a leading organization. His career earnings of just over $5,000 will also recevie a significant boost.

Cloud finished 3rd-4th at the CIS Stage 1 Masters, demonstrating his credentials at the highest level. The Russian had the following to say on joining Natus Vincere: “I’m honored to be a part of NAVI and incredibly happy to get this chance. I’m willing to work even harder now. I know that many fans are rooting with all their hearts and I would like to give something back! I have been given the opportunity to prove that I am a VALORANT player for a reason. I will do my absolute best.”

The arrival of Na’Vi in the VALORANT scene will undoubtedly be a boost to the CIS region, with the team set to battle it out for the Masters 3 Berlin, which gets underway shortly.
