VALORANT – “Deadeye” is going to be the 17th agent

Agent #17 coming to Valorant soon and apparently he is called “Deadeye”, according to some teasers that are now going to be released. Deadeye is supposed to be coming to us after September 8, which is the release date of Episode 3 Act 2.

KAY/O was the latest legend to be released and Riot is already set up to present us the next agent in only a few weeks time. Deadeye appeared for the first time in June, in “Valorant’s Year One Anthem” and we have spotted him in a few other teasers as well.

What we know so far about Valorant “Deadeye”

At the moment not much is known about Deadeye so far. The only thing we know for sure is his name, which was found in June, together with the name for Agent #18, which is going to be Sprinter. Deadeye is just a codename, so we don’t know what his actual official name will be. His name might give a hint to the agent’s style or his abilities, but there is no safe source to confirm anything about that.

Some people say that he might be a duelist, which we think is unlikely, as we already have six duelists in the game.

Release date of agent #17

As we already know, Episode 3 / Act 2 is going to be released in exactly one week, on Wednesday, September 8. So if everything goes as usual Riot will be releasing the new map together with the new agent and we presume that Deadeye will be released around September 22. Episode 3 / Act 2 is also going to release a totally new map called “Fracture”, which was called “Canyon” before Riot confirmed the official name.

In the teaser you can see something that looks like a canyon, with mountains visible in the distance. Fracture is vastly different compared with some of the other maps. What caught our eyes is that on one side the canyon is full of fresh green, while the other side looks more like a barren desert with no plants or green colour at all. It almost looks like Fracture is stretching from one climate zone to another one.
