Davidp & Ambi added to Giants Gaming VALORANT roster. Giants Gaming has officially announced the signings of David “Davidp” Prins and Stepan “Ambi” Beranek, with the duo having joined the organization’s VALORANT roster. Davidp and Ambi had been competing with the org for the past month as stand-ins, however they have now joined on permanent deals.

The pair were unveiled by Giants Gaming shortly after the team’s VALORANT Champions Tour EMEA Challengers Playoffs encounter against Guild Esport, a match which ended 2-1 in their favor. Responding to Giants Gaming’s post via Twitter, Davidp wrote:

“Happy to say that I’ve officially signed with @GiantsGaming. I couldn’t see myself signing anywhere else after the insane run we’ve had till now, the conditions and the work provided are up to my expectations. Gracias por el apoyo! Red heart #WeAreGiants #VodafoneGiants.”

Why Giants signed Davidp & Ambi permanently

Meanwhile, Ambi simply posted: “I am so happy that I found a new home”. The duo joined Giants as stand-ins back in July, following the benching of both Michal “MOLSI” Lacki and Ricardas “Boo” Lukasevicius. The pair were ultimately released by the org, becoming free agents.

Davidp was a key part of the G2 Esports roster that performed so well last year, having also competed under the banner of Excel earlier in 2021. Davidp and Ambi were unable to help Giants in the open qualifiers of any Challenger events, having come unstuck against the likes of Team Vitality, Fnatic, Dfuse Team and Acend.

How Giants Gaming has performed with Davidp & Ambi on board

Having made changes to its roster, Giants eventually advanced through the Stage Three: Challengers Two Open Qualifier, before securing a place at the EMEA Challengers Playoffs. This was off the back of an impressive win over Rix.GG, a comeback success over Fnatic and a standout victory over Team Liquid, one of the leading teams in the region. Giants had lost the first map on Icebox 13-4 against Fnatic.

Giants were defeated by Oxygen Esports in the opening round of the VCT EMEA Challengers Playoffs, before bouncing back with a win over Na’Vi. The team now faces off against G2 for a place at the Masters Three: Berlin. The remainder of the Giants Gaming VALORANT roster is made up by Aaro “hoody” Peltokangas, Johan “Meddo” Renbjork Lundborg and Adolfo “Fit1nho” Gallego. Daniil “PipsoN” Meshcheryakov is the coach for the team.
