According to reports, German organization FC Schalke 04 Esports are set to confirm their League of Legends roster for the 2022 season. The org just recently sold its LEC spot due to financial struggled, meaning that they will compete in the Prime League next year. This is how their new League of Legends roster might look like in the next season.

Despite this, Schalke 04 has still been able to assemble a strong lineup, which will seemingly be made up by top laner Daniel “Scarface” Aitbelkacem, jungler Ismaïl “Isma” Boualem, mid laner Nicolas “Decay” Gawron, bot laner Belan “TakeSet” Ahour and support Nikos “HungryPanda” Nikolaidis. Christos “Lion” Tsiamis will act as head coach.

Where Schalke 04 Esports Will Compete in 2022

The report was delivered by Upcomer on Tuesday, with Schalke 04 stepping up preparations for the new season. The German outfit has competed in the EU LCS/LEC for the last four years, before they sold their spot to Team BDS at the end of June. Having narrowly missed out on reaching the League of Legends World Championship on several occasions, Schalke 04 may have never hit the big time, but they did finish second at the 2018 EU LCS Summer Playoffs.

The Schalke 04 roster will compete in the German ERL, known as the Prime League. They will take the spot of their own Academy team, Schalke 04 Evolution. Former Unicorns Of Love coach Lion will be in charge of leading their main roster, where he will once again team up with mid laner Decay. The duo helped Unicorns Of Love to a runner-up finish at the PRM Pro Division 2021 Winter Cup.

Who Did Schalke 04 Overlook When Deciding Its New Look Roster

As far as the top lane is concerned, Scarface has commited his future to Schalke 04, with the 22-year old having experience of playing in the Prime League. In fact, just last year, Scarface competed for PENTA 1860, who qualified for the European Master Summer 2021 Finals. The org is expected to confirm the arrivals of Isma and TakeSet, who previously both played for FC Nantes Esports in the LFL Second Division.

The lineup is completed by HungryPanda, with the org having decided against bringing in Kacper “Czypsy” Zaparucha, who was their alternative for the support position. Czypsy is now without a team ahead of the new season. The same can be said of top laner Felix “Rocklho” Bao Duy Ho, who was also considered by Schalke 04 at one stage.
