For the second time in just four months, Forsen has been banned from Twitch. The popular streamer was banned from the leading streaming platform for a period of two weeks back in May after using unacceptable language in relation to Russian VALORANT players, however no reason has been given for his latest ban.

The StreamerBans Twitter account announced the news that Forsen’s Twitch account had indeed been banned, however as is the streaming platform’s policy, fans are still unaware exactly why or for how long. Sebastian Hans Eli Fors, known as Forsen, is a Swedish streamer best known for playing Starcraft II and Hearthstone and PLAYERUNKNOWN’s BATTLEGROUNDS, having amassed over 1.3 million followers on Twitch to date.

What is the Controversy Surrounding Forsen?

Streaming under the banner of Cloud9, Forsen has developed a reputation as being a rowdy character, with his followers being known as “Forsenboys”, who themselves have caused controversy due to their internet memes. Back in January 2018, an image of Forsen quickly became the most used emote on Twitch across the globe, while he rose to No.33 in the rankings when it comes to Twitch subscribers earlier this year.

Forsen has had a major impact on the streaming scene, with many new faces having been influenced by his style. ForsenCD and monkaS emotes are well-known, however his latest ban means that he faces an uncertain future on Twitch. The 29-year-old has not yet broken his silence over the ban, with it remaining to be seen as to how long he will be absent from the platform. Forsen went offline on September 9, however the offense could have been carried out beforehand, with Twitch often taking their time to deliver bans.

What Forsen Achieved During His Professional Days

Having been at Cloud9 since 2017, it also remains to be seen as to whether the organisation will react to his latest misdemeanour. Forsen averages over 9,000 viewers per stream, however controversy surrounding “hateful comments” may make Cloud9 think twice. Having retired from professional gaming in 2017 in order to focus solely on streaming and content creation, this will certainly come as a blow to the former Starcraft II and Hearthstone player.

Forsen’s greatest achievement in Starcraft II came when he reached the final group stage at DreamHack Stockholm in 2012, before he eventually came unstuck against two leading Korean players, while he also enjoyed time with ManaGrind in Hearthstone. He gained a reputation for his skills as a “Miracle Rogue”.
