Team SoloMid, Susquehanna Soniqs, and DarkZero Esports have all climbed to the top of NAL. Oxygen Esports, beastcoast and Disrupt Gaming are closing in though, and just a single match victory could put them on top of the frontrunners.

The Top 4 from NAL Season 1 are struggling to retain their dominance. TSM and DarkZero may be at the top, but Oxygen have taken place behind SQ and Spacestation are spending their time in seventh place. Bringing in Luke “Luke” Slota as their IGL, they obviously need some time to get into the groove. On top of that, they didn’t play on the first match day. So SSG still have all the time in the world to set this right and work their deficit off. However, the last two match days haven’t really inspired a lot of confidence in them.

SSG RECORD TWO LOSSES

The two match days really haven’t been easy on Spacestation Gaming. On a 2-7 scoreline, they were wiped off the server by Susquehanna Soniqs. The next day, they had to step up to the plate again – but this time against TSM! While they may have had a good start to the match, TSM brought it back and made it to overtime. There, Matthew “Achieved” Solomon delivered the kills needed for an 8-6 finish.

Jason “Beaulo” Doty and his colleagues have obviously gotten over their defeat from the first day. Team SoloMid later took a 7-0 victory over XSET. This week, they also pulled off wins over Mirage and SSG. After such a strong performance, they’re now back at the top of the NAL leaderboard.

THREE TEAMS WITH JOINT 2-1-0-1 RECORDS

DarkZero Esports, TSM, and Susquehanna have each amassed one victory, one overtime victory, and one defeat. The three now jointly spearhead NAL with eight points each, but on the next match day, this trio will already be broken apart. SQ will go up against TSM, which means that one team has to lose eventually.

After beastcoast have already won over XSET and TSM, a win over Mirage seems all but inevitable. Spacestation Gaming are bound to go up against yet another top contender in the form of Oxygen Esports, who were also part of the NAL 2020 Top 4. Their current form, however, inspires very little confidence in them being able to tackle this challenge. DarkZero will close off the game with a match against XSET. Even though Tim “Creators” Humpherys and his men managed to mount a very close game against Oxygen, they have fallen off on these last couple of days. The frontrunners of DZ should have little trouble dispatching them.

The fifth match day is closely followed by the sixth. There, we can watch TSM go up against Oxygen and DarkZero face SSG. This means that the Top 4 is going to brawl again and give us some sense of who is actually going to be able to make the top spot this season.
