PSG Esports, who operate under the banner of French football giants Paris Saint-German, has announced the launch of a new online training program, which will conveniently be known as Paris Saint-German Academy Esports. As part of the program, budding Esports players can receive one on one training sessions, charged at €20 (£18) per hour.

Operating in both FIFA 21 and Brawl Stars, the Paris Saint-German Academy Esports will have 20 different coaches available, who are all certified. It was rumoured that it would be members of the current PSG Esports roster who budding players would learn from, however it turned out that this was not the case. Academy coaches must adhere to a strict “training methodology”, which has been put in place by the organization.

How Paris Saint-Germain Academy Esports Coaches Will Operate

Based on information from the organization, it is known that coaches are evaluated using strict criteria, based on their ability to share skills, technical attributes and pedagogical abilities. Training sessions will likely last anywhere between 1-2 hours, with each being broken down into five different parts. Such parts include a full briefing, demo, supervised training, role playing and a debrief.

What PSG Has Had to Say on the News

While the Academy will only initially be available to FIFA 21 and Brawl Stars players, it is expected that the likes of League of Legends and Dota 2 could well be added at a later date. A press release surrounding the Academy’s launch read: “Our training method is based on a permanent correction of what you do in the game so that you can find the solutions to the problems you encounter yourself. Our coaches help you to identify your weak points and to correct them through exchanges and role-playing.”

Training sessions will be available 24 hours a day to players, with coaches catering for both French and English speaking talents. PSG Esports has been in operation since 2016, having recently expanded by forming associations with both Talon Esports and Rex Regum Qeon. Their latest venture shows that the organization is keen to grow yet further, with their experience in the industry likely to be a major asset to up and coming gamers.
