Pasha Biceps to Make Return to CS:GO Scene

It was announced on Tuesday that Jaroslaw “pashaBiceps” Jarzabkowski would be making his return to the competitive Counter-Strike: Global Offensive scene. A newly-formed team called Liquid Biceps will take part in the regional Polish eSports League, with the Team Liquid academy side being made up entirely of promising Polish talent.

While no other members of the team have been announced as of yet, many will undoubtedly be keen to join pashaBiceps. The 32-year-old joined Team Liquid as a streamer and certified Liquid supporter back in August, however the former Virtus.Pro player teased a comeback during a call with Jacky “Stewie2K” Yip. During that call, Pasha stated: “if someone cannot go to a tournament, you know my number”.

What Led to Pasha’s Return to CS:GO?

Pasha had seemingly retired from the CS:GO scene following a trial at AGO in 2019 and a period of inactivity for over a year, however the hugely popular personality will now make his long awaited return. His Counter-Strike career dates back to 2004 with Infernal Connection, making him a real legend of the scene. It was as part of the “Golden Five” in which Pasha really made a name for himself, alongside Janusz “Snax” Pogorzelski and Pawel “byali” Bielinski.

Pasha cultivated something of a cult following during his five years with Virtus.Pro, where he won the ELEAGUE Season 1, DreamHack Open Bucharest 2016 and the DreamHack Masters Las Vegas 2017. Meanwhile, he was also voted the world’s third best player by HLTV in 2014, which only added to his legacy.

Can Pasha Be a Force Within CS:GO Again?

However, following a disappointing run of results, Virtus.Pro ceased operations for the legendary roster back in December 2018, leaving pasha’s future up in the air. Having played a few times for AGO and Youngsters, he was unable to reach the high’s of the past. However, the formation of Liquid Biceps will potentially give Pasha a chance to go out on a better note than he previously did, with the return of the popular Papito being hugely anticipated by CS:GO fans.

Announcing the news on Twitter, Jarzabkowski posted: “PAPI IS BACK! I missed so much this esports thrill, so i’m returning to being a player. I gathered talented youngsters and created ?????? ??????, with whom I will play in @pleleague. Let’s see what Papi can do. ?Thanks @teamliquid for motivation! Show must go ON.
