A host of roster changes are expected in the coming weeks in the Call of Duty League, with the Atlanta FaZe having recently been crowned Stage Three Major winners. Ahead of Stage Four getting underway, the Paris Legion are one of the teams looking to make changes to their starting lineup.

Having failed to sign “Saints” from the New York Subliners, a deal that failed to materialize due to the cost of his buyout, the Legion are reportedly now eying a move for Alex “Zaptius” Bonilla. Zaptius currently plays for the London Royal Ravens, however with the 22-year-old having only been on a temporary contract, his time there looks to be coming to an end.

Why Zaptius Could Become Available

The Ravens are also making “Zed” a substitute, with Marcus “Afro” Reid having been granted a visa, enabling him to compete upon his arrival stateside. Afro was initially signed as a substitute Meanwhile, Alex “Alexx” Carpenter will likely return to their starting lineup, having taken time off for personal reasons. Afro and Alexx are likely to compete alongside “PaulEhx” and “Seany”.

Zaptius, whose former teams include Midnight Esports and WestR, demonstrated his potential during his time with the Ravens, having led them to four wins from their last six encounters. The Atlanta FaZe and Los Angeles Thieves were the only teams to beat the Ravens, who prior to this run, had only won twice all season.

Why the Legion Pulled Out of Signing Saints

It is not yet clear as to who would miss out should the Paris Legion sign Zaptius, with the team having largely struggled, even with the addition of Donovan “Temp” Laroda. The team was reportedly putt off signing Saints due to his $25,000 buyout. Should Zaptius go on to excel for Paris, it would be a bitter pill to swallow for European rivals Ravens.
Elsewhere, the Seattle Surge are another team looking to be active in the market. With “Dacemate” having voluntarily substituted himself just two weeks after joining the team, a replacement must be found. Dacemate is already rumored to be searching for a new team in the Challengers division.
