OMEGA League: Europe Immortal Division is one of the biggest Dota 2 events of 2020. The tournament will be held online between August 14th – September 6th and feature the best 12 teams in Europe and CIS. In this article, I will take a close look at who the favorites are.

OMEGA League: Europe Immortal Division Competitors

These are the 12 teams that will participate in OMEGA League: Europe Immortal Division:

  • Team Secret
  • Evil Geniuses
  • OG
  • Ninjas in Pyjamas
  • 5men
  • Alliance
  • Natus Vincere
  • Team Liquid
  • pro
  • FlyToMoon
  • Team Nigma
  • gg

Among these 12, there are at least three that could claim the title, and probably two others that could potentially do well here, but are less likely to succeed. The first three are Team Secret, Team Nigma, and Alliance. The other two are OG and Evil Geniuses.

Favorites

Here’s a brief analysis of the three big favorites of OMEGA League: Europe Immortal Division.

Team Secret

Apart from winning the second Major of the Dota Pro Circuit back in January, Team Secret won five other online events without any problem at all. They literally had five Grand Finals that ended with a score of 3 – 0 in their favor. And every single time, they had to face a different opponent.

Based on this record, it’s no wonder why Secret is expected to win the title at OMEGA League: Europe Immortal Division. Their biggest rivals will be the other two teams on this list. But unless they enter the tournament unprepared, they should have an easy time reaching the Grand Final again.

Team Nigma

Team Nigma is in great shape right now. KuroKy and his squad went from finishing 4th in ESL One Birmingham 2020, to winning the title at the recent OGA Dota PIT S2. In between, they also got the 3rd place at BLAST Bounty Hunt and the 2nd place at BEYOND EPIC. In just two months, they completed their recovery and are now 2nd in Europe/CIS, after  Team Secret.

Alliance

Alliance is the 3rd big team in the race for the OMEGA League: Europe Immortal Division title. Ever since this roster was put together somewhere around April-May this year, this line-up has impressed the community enormously. Alliance may not have the consistency it requires, but it certainly has a high ceiling. If they have a good tournament, s4 and his squad could easily play in the Grand Final.
