OMEGA League: Americas Divine Division – Lower Bracket Finals Preview

OMEGA League: Americas Divine Division is approaching the Grand Final. But before we get there, 4 Zoomers and Thunder Predator will need to compete for a chance to encounter Quincy Crew in this last match of the tournament. In this article I’m going to take a close look at this match. But first, let’s have a look at the results of the event so far.

OMEGA League: Americas Divine Division Results

These are the results for both stages, up until this point.

Group A

• 1^st place: Quincy Crew: 4 W – 0 L
• 2^nd place: 4 Zoomers: 3 W – 1 L
• 3^rd place: Business Associates: 2 W – 2 L
• 4^th place: Boonz + Goonz: 1 W – 3 L
• 5^th place: Pace University: 0 W – 4 L

Group B

• 1^st place: Thunder Predator: 3 W – 1 L
• 2^nd place: beastcoast: 3 W – 1 L
• 3^rd place: Infamous: 3 W – 1 L
• 4^th place: Omega Gaming: 1 W – 3 L
• 5^th place: Team Brasil: 0 W – 4 L

Playoffs

In the Playoffs Stage, Quincy Crew defeated beastcoast, 4 Zoomers defeated Thunder Predator, and then Quincy Crew once again emerged victorious against 4 Zoomers. That was the Upper Bracket.

In the Lower Bracket, Thunder Predator defeated Omega Gaming, beastcoast defeated infamous in a surprising upset, and then Thunder Predator defeated beastcoast. This is how we arrived at this situation: Quincy Crew is waiting in the Grand Final for the winner between 4 Zoomers and Thunder Predator.

Lower Bracket Finals: 4 Zoomers vs. Thunder Predator

These two teams regularly meet each other and the results tend to go both ways. In some cases 4 Zoomers wins, while in others Thunder Predator wins. In the last 5 matches, the results went like this: DWLLW. Given that 4 Zoomers won the last match (2 – 0), I think it’s safe to assume that they’re in better shape than their opponent.

4 Zoomers’ biggest advantage in this match is its roster. While Thunder Predator has a roster full of relatively unknown players from Peru, 4 Zoomers has a lot of important names, at least at the regional level: Gunnar, Sammyboy, and monkeys-forever.

It will be interesting to see what’s gonna happen in this match but no matter who wins, Quincy Crew will probably smash them in the Grand Final. At this point, the skill difference between this squad and every other opponent in the region is simply enormous. And you can see that in the results. Since the start of June, QC won 5 different tournaments.
