Omega League 2020 Europe Immortal Division Week 3 Preview

Omega League 2020 Europe Immortal Division is about to enter its 3^rd and final competitive week. So far, the usual suspects have done what they do best. There were a few upsets, but for the most part, all the top teams are where they need to be in their group’s standings table. With just one more week to go before the Play-In Stage and the Playoffs, here’s the situation so far and what will happen next.

In both groups, the best competitors have managed to rise to the top.

Group A

• 1^st: Evil Geniuses: 4 points in 3 matches
• 2^nd: Team Nigma: 4 points in 3 matches
• 3^rd: Virtus.pro: 4 points in 3 matches
• 4^th: 5men: 4 points in 5 matches
• 5^th: Alliance: 2 points in 3 matches
• 6^th: Natus Vincere: 2 points in 3 matches

Group B

• 1^st: OG: 6 points in 3 matches
• 2^nd: Team Secret: 6 points in 3 matches
• 3^rd: Vikin.gg: 6 points in 5 matches
• 4^th: FlyToMoon: 2 points in 3 matches
• 5^th: Ninjas in Pyjamas: 2 points in 5 matches
• 6^th: Team Liquid: 0 points in 3 matches

Week 3 Preview

Week 3 of Omega League 2020 Europe Immortal Division is scheduled to take place between August 27^th – 29^th. A total of 9 matches will be played and some of them can change the standings tables.

August 27^th

On this day, Team Secret will take on FlyToMoon, Virtus.pro will play against Team Nigma, and Evil Geniuses will need to defeat Alliance to consolidate its position at the top of Group B. No doubt, Secret will smash FTM. But what about the other two matches? Based on what we’ve seen so far, Nigma is stronger than Virtus.pro and should win that dispute, most likely with a score of 2 – 1. As for Evil Geniuses, they too are stronger than Alliance in their new roster. Not only that, but Alliance has shown unexpected signs of weakness during the first two weeks of this tournament. In particular, their latest defeat against 5men speaks volumes.

August 28^th

Day 2 of the third week of Omega League 2020 Europe Immortal Division starts with a legendary match: Natus Vincere versus Alliance. I’m sure you’re interested in this matchup if you’re a Dota 2 fan. Everyone else is waiting for this hyped dispute. And with Natus Vincere in great shape (just watch their 2 – 0 match against Evil Geniuses), I think they actually stand a good chance against Alliance. Normally, Alliance should smash them with ease. But given their poor form combined with Na’Vi’s peak, I think we can expect a good match.

The second match for this day is Liquid versus FTM. It doesn’t really matter who wins this one. Liquid is already sort of doomed. But still, if they manage to win, they could avoid finishing last in the group.

And finally, we have the big derby: Team Secret versus OG. I’m all for Secret here.

August 29^th

OG versus Alliance will start the day, and it should end with a victory for Ceb’s team (OG). Next, we have Nigma versus Na’Vi. Nigma is the big favorite, but Na’Vi has shown great strength recently. So it’s not entirely clear what will happen in this match. And finally, we have Virtus.pro versus Evil Geniuses, which should end with a victory for EG.
