OG Reinstates Ana Following MidOne’s Departure

Anathan “ana” Pham has once again returned to OG’s active Dota 2 roster, with the Australian having been reinstated by the organization following the departure of Yeik “MidOne” Nai Zheng at the end of March. The 21-year-old, who has won The International twice, will once again feature on OG’s the inactive roster, marking his fourth stint for the European org.

Ana originally departed OG in August 2017, before competing for both Team World and Echo International. His decision to leave was in part due to his benching following both The International 18 and 19. He then rejoined OG in June 2018 for The International 18 European Open Qualifiers. However, he has now not played competitively since The International 19, apart from a cameo appearance for TNC Predator during a charity tournament. The fans favorite has been listed as inactive by OG ever since then.

Will the Return of Ana Be the Spark OG Need?

While many are excited at the return of Ana, it remains to be seen as to whether he can still make an impact for OG, who are hoping to earn an invite to The International 10. The team currently find themselves 27th in the Dota Pro Circuit rankings, with this lowly position coming as a result of them earning just 50 points in the Regional League first season. This is largely due to the fact that they were penalized for releasing MidOne from their roster during the event.

Many are now backing OG to do enough to qualify, while an unlikely shot at a third Aegis of Champions is not out of the question entirely. The European League has retained its fourth qualifying spot for the final Major of the season, helping OG in their quest.

Who Makes Up the Rest of the OG Lineup?

Ana will once again team up with Topias “Topson” Taavitsainen, Sebastien “Ceb” Debs, Martin “Saksa” Sazdov and Johan “N0tail” Sundstein, who make up the remainder of the OG roster. Valter “Shootsgud” Gomes is the current manager of the team, while Totouan “Sockshka” Merloz is their coach.
