North American Esports organisation NRG has revealed its brand new gaming training facility, with the $10 million, 20,000 square foot venue, having been branded as a “gaming fantasy factory”. Based in the heart of Los Angeles, the NRG Castle will be be a place in which both players and content creators can operate, while the organisation is also hoping that the facility will encourage more callaborations within the gaming scene.

Why NRG Have Created Such a Facility

NRG worked with well-known Hollywood designers in order to create their new facility, which has a unique look that will certainly not be replicated easily. The venue comes with a $1 million double-decker gaming couch, while LED lights standout throughout. The likes of Shaquille O’Neal, Jennifer Lopez, Tiesto and Alex Rodriguez have invested in NRG Esports in the past, with their new facility having been described as “a cutting edge space for influencers and creative to connect and enjoy one of a kind installations, elevating gaming tournaments and content creation”.

The NRG YouTube channel provides fans with an in-depth tour of the facility, which comes with separate rooms for both teams and players. The San Fransisco Shock have already played a host of Overwatch League matches from such rooms. Meanwhile, those in charge of the organisation will operate in a traditional office space. As they look to expand yet further, NRG have made it clear that they will invite individuals from different walks of life to the facility in order to play, collaborate and edit in.

What Can We Expect from NRG in the Future

NRG Esports was founded back in 2015 by Andy Miller and Mark Mastrov, co-owners of basketball team the Sacramento Kings, with the organisation competing in Call of Duty, Overwatch and Fortnite. The NRG YouTube channel now has over 1 million subscribers, with content being created around Rocket League and Apex Legends, among other games. Meanwhile, NRG has also claimed to be the most-viewed Esports organisation on Twitch.
