Ninja Calls Out Valorant Cheaters on Twitch

Tyler “Ninja” Blevins has made a significant impact through playing Valorant upon his return to Twitch, however his progress was effected this week, due to what the former Halo pro described as cheaters. Ninja is now one of the most popular streamers around, having some 15 million followers on Twitch, with the 29-year-old having been playing Valorant on a daily basis over the past few months in a bid to hone his skills surrounding the tactical shooter from Riot Games.

Why Ninja Accused His Opponents of Cheating

However, while streaming on September 14, Ninja was on the receiving end of sabotage from hackers, with the former Cloud9 and Team Liquid man having become sceptical after just a few rounds. Opponents Reyna and Cypher appeared to consistently deliver headshots off pre-fire shots, with the former even getting multiple headshots without Ninja’s teammates being in sight.

As a result, Ninja filed a complaint after 10 rounds. Clearly disappointed about the actions of his opponents, Ninja stated on his stream that: “That Reyna is cheating. There’s no doubt in my mind that she’s cheating. That Cypher just fucking swings, jiggles, and hits me immediately. He headshots you through me, both of us simultaneously… With the pre-fire too, by the way.”

What Does the Future Holds for Ninja?

Ninja has been enjoying playing Valorant alongside 100 Thieves captain Spencer “Hiko” Martin, with a permanent move to professional Valorant having been rumoured by some. However, such a switch would appear unlikely, given the popularity of Ninja as a streamer and content creator. Ninja previously had a long spell playing professional Halo, where he won the MLG Fall Championship 2012 and EGL 9.

Riot have been quick to denounce the actions of cheaters within Valorant, while they will continue to try and catch those who break the rules. The developers have made it clear that they will not give cheaters a second chance, with anyone who suspects cheating being urged to report them. Cheating in Valorant involves wall hacks and aimbots, with some seemingly being determined to use such tricks to climb the rankings.
