Carl Martin Erik “Rekkles” Larsson is known as one of the greatest League of Legends players of all time, and now he has solidified his reputation even more by becoming the first player in LEC history to reach 2,000 kills.

G2’s AD Carry recorded 11 kills and three assists against Rogue, helping his team to a 2-0 record this weekend. Currently, Rekkles has the third most kills in the entire league with 51, behind only Carzzy and Upset. He also has only 11 kills during the entire split.

Rekkles reaching 2000 kills

The 24-year-old Swede is considered the best shooter in Europe. He has a reputation for working hard and delivering consistent results.

Rekkles has led the league in kills in several seasons and was one of the few players to finish a regular season with a double-digit KDA. He finished last spring’s split with a KDA of 12.6 and just 18 kills. The last time anyone managed that was 2018 with a KDA of 13.5 – and it was also Rekkles himself when he played for Fnatic. He parted ways with Fnatic at the end of 2020 and went to G2, Fnatic’s arch-rivals. That move didn’t hurt his reputation, though.

Rekkles won four regular-season MVP awards and four LEC All-Pro First Team honors. Despite not winning a championship last season, Rekkles and the rest of G2 still have a chance again this year to represent Europe at this year’s World Championship in China. G2 has three weeks left to secure a spot in the playoffs.
