LCS Championship to be held at LCS Arena instead of New Jersey. Riot Games and the LCS have decided not to hold the LCS Championship at the Prudential Center this year.
Unfortunately, since there is again an increase of Corona – cases in the United States, the plans had to be changed. The tournament will now be held at the LCS Arena in Los Angeles in a safer environment.
Covid cases are rising again
About a month ago, the LCS announced that the LAN Finals would be held live with the fans present. The original plan was that the LCS Championship would feature the top 3 teams from the playoffs competing for the title. The event was to be held at the Prudential Center in Newark.
Many fans were looking forward to the LCS Championship, especially because it has been a while since you could watch your favorite teams live, because until now you could only follow everything online because of Corona.
However, now the LCS announced that those plans had to be cancelled again. They said that it had originally planned the playoffs after seeing the development of the vaccines in the US. However, the Delta variant has again thwarted those plans.

“We made the decision to move forward because of the promising launch of the vaccine in the spring,” the league said in a statement. “However, given the current situation, we cannot host a major fan event in good conscience at this time.”
The entire tournament will be held at the LCS Arena and will ensure a safe environment for participating players and staff. The league also said it expects other events to continue during this time, but it “does not have to take any health and safety risks.”
Everyone with a ticket will get a full refund. More details will follow shortly.
