After just a matter of weeks, SK Gaming has announced that Jesse “Jesiz” Le will revert back to his more familiar role as Head Coach. The 25-year-old filled In at Support following some eyebrow raising roster changes, however with Philipp “Lilipp” Englert having been promoted from the SK Gaming Prime team, Jesiz’s services are no longer required.

SK Gaming remain the only team in the LEC without a win to their name, with their 0-5 record leaving them rock bottom of the standings. As a result, it comes as no surprise that the org has decided to make yet more changes. Jezis first joined SK Gaming in November 2013, before returning as a temporary substitute in October last year.

Why SK Gaming made more roster changes

The likes of Astralis, EXCEL, Team Vitality and even Schalke 04 have better records in the LEC so far this season, with SK Gaming facing an uphill battle to even reach the playoffs. 20-year-old German Lilipp will be hoping that he can give the team a boost, having previously competed under the banner of Team Moops, OP Innogy and Hegemonia Esport.

Meanwhile, Erik “Treatz” Wessen will also be hoping to step up to the mark, with the jungler having been inconsistent. This perhaps comes as no surprise, with the Swedish veteran having come up against some of the best junglers in Europe of late. The former TSM pro is joined by top laner Janik “Jenax” Bartels, mid laner Ersin “Blue” Goren, bot laner Jean “Jezu” Massol, Marc “Canee” Behrend, Kristian “TynX” Ostergaard Hansen and Thomas “Bertho” Huber on the SK Gaming active roster.

Can SK Gaming Record Their First Win of the Season This Week?

While SK Gaming has the talent and experience to battle it out for a playoff spot in the LEC, it would take a significant upturn in fortunes for the team to move away from the bottom of the standings. SK will take on MAD Lions and EXCEL Esports in the coming days, matches which could well determine how the rest of their season pans out. One win from the two encounters is the minimum requirement.
