LoL – Immortals quarantined because of Corona-Virus

Immortals quarantined because of Corona-Virus. The Immortals have tested positive for Corona and have to be quarantined for the time being. Who exactly is affected by this has not been announced yet. It could be players, but also coaches or employees. Nonetheless the whole team has to be quarantined.

Unfortunately “a few” people on the team have tested positive for Covid-19 and therefore the Immortals will have to play their three 2021 LCS Summer Split matches online which was the standard during the last months. Their opponents will also be able to play online if they wish to do so.

The Immortals statement about the quarantine

“We are currently conducting contact tracing with the Immortals to understand who, if anyone, may be affected,” LCS Commissioner Greeley said in a statement today. “We wish those who tested positive a speedy recovery.” For now everything will proceed as normal, and will not affect other matches or the broadcasts.
