Febiven retires from competetive League. Ex-Fnatic player Fabian “Febiven” Diepstraten has announced that he has retired from competitive gaming. He was active for 7 years, played in 2 regions for several organizations, including Misfits Gaming, Clutch Gaming, Fnatic, H2k-Gaming and Cloud9 Eclipse.

Prior to the 2021 season, the 24-year-old joined Fnatic to play for the team’s secondary lineup, Fnatic Rising. He did not appear in any LEC games this season after playing in 40 contests for Misfits last year. Throughout his professional career, Febiven played in 420 games, winning over half of them.

An extra ordinary career comes to an end

The Dutchman’s biggest career achievement came with Fnatic in 2015, when he led Fnatic to the semifinals of the Mid-Season Invitational in his first-ever split as a pro. In the EU LCS Summer Split, Fnatic posted a perfect 18-0 record and reached the semifinals of the World Championship. Febiven’s retirement marks the end of the career of one of the strongest multi-region players in Western League history. So far he has not announced any plans for the future.
