Logitech G303 Shroud Edition Announced

A special edition of the legendary Logitech G303 — designed in collaboration with the equally revered Michael “Shroud” Grzesiek — has just been announced! And, well, if you’re a fan of its well-known shape and are partial to wireless gaming mice, make sure to read on!

This isn’t the first collab of this kind, but it might just be the most alluring one yet!

Building upon the well-known Daedalus legacy, this lightweight mouse was tweaked and tuned based on Shroud’s personal preference and input. That has resulted in USB-C charging (a great addition, no doubt), “subtle markings approximating his finger grip positions,” translucent side panels that show off a bit of its internals, and slightly repositioned side buttons.

There’s no RGB whatsoever which may or may not be a dealbreaker depending on your personal preference; it’s more in line with Logitech’s current M.O. (the slick, blacked-out minimalism) and weighs just 75 grams. It’s still a bit heavier than the G Pro X Superlight (63g), but it’s up for debate whether a non-professional gamer could truly feel the difference in day-to-day use.

Spec’d Out

Logitech is promising “elevated performance” thanks to its low-latency LIGHTSPEEED wireless connection. The HERO 25K sensor, on the other hand, will provide “sub-micron” precision which is a basically a fancy way of saying you won’t be able to blame your mouse for a missed headshot. All of that combined with ~145-hour battery life means you’ll be set to burn the midnight oil and game without fear of running “low on juice!”

At $129.99, however, it definitely costs a pretty penny. It won’t exactly burn a hole through your wallet but it’ll definitely leave a mark, that’s for sure. Unless you’re obsessed with its shape — or are the most staunch Shroud fan — you’d probably be better off with the G Pro Wireless from Logitech (be it new or used). It’s arguably a better product and its shape will accommodate a wider range of users and grip styles. What works for Shroud might not work for you, so going for a more “standard” (ambidextrous) shape might be the wiser choice!

Be that as it may, we’d be remiss if we didn’t say that this iconic Daedalus-style design has its loyal fanbase, and we’re definitely glad that they’ll now have an even better, spec’d-out option available! It might be on the pricier side (to put it mildly), but at least it carries most (if not all) of the latest bells and whistles one could want in a gaming mouse!
