The Legends of Runeterra patch 2.11.0 is absolutely huge, and we mean that in more ways than one. First of all, it contains the “Rise of the Underworlds” expansion, a release that’s packed with numerous goodies and three highly distinct champions — Rek’Sai, Pyke, and Ekko!

It might not be stacked to the brim with content, but it still carries a metric ton of potential. Moreover, the new Lurker keyword is definitely one to keep an eye on! Any time a bunch of new champions are released (alongside a slew of accompanying support cards), the game is all but guaranteed to change in either huge, sweeping ways or more nuanced ones.

The folks over at Riot have also decided to start shipping more frequent balance changes, and we’ll touch on the first batch in greater detail down below.

It’s still too early to fully assess the impact of patch 2.11.0, but so far we love what we’re seeing!

So, without any further ado, let’s take a closer look at the biggest changes that patch 2.11.0 brings to the table!

Legends of Runeterra Patch 2.11.0 Breakdown

The brand new Rise of the Underworlds expansion obviously takes center stage. We already covered it extensively, but if you happen to need a refresher, make sure to head over to Mobalytics — they have a great gallery of sorts that will allow you to go over everything in greater detail!

You can also give the whole Lurker-based mechanic a try in a bespoke in-game challenge called Beneath the Surface — a great way for players to experience this highly specific style of play. It’s not everyone’s cup of tea, of course, but it’s mighty potent, especially when harnessed correctly!

The Mother of All Balance Changes

This is, without a shadow of a doubt, the most comprehensive list of balance changes the dev team ever put out. The biggest goal, of course, is to target the best decks in the current meta, most notably Irelia/Azir, Nasus/Thresh, Trundle/Lissandra, and Draven-based decks. The ultimate goal is to allow room for other strategies, therefore ushering a more balanced state of affairs.

They will be closely monitoring the impact of these changes so that they can respond as quickly as possible, shoud things go awry.

For the full list of balance changes, make sure to head over to Riot’s official website.

Patch 2.11.0 — Cosmetics Galore

As always, what would a Legends of Ruenterra patch be without a slew of mouth-watering cosmetics? This time around we’re getting three emotes, a Pyke-themed board called Sunken Shipyard, two card backs (one for Pyke and one for Rek’Sai), and a slick new Curse of the Deep bundle for 2403 coins, prorated for any items you might already own. Alternatively, if you’re not particularly fond of Pyke, you can opt for the Dueling Timelines deck bundle (3173 Coins) — a premade deck centering around Ekko and Zilean.

All in all, this is about as impactful a patch as it gets! We’ll be back in a couple of days with more post-release coverage so stay tuned!
