After there was plenty of drama at T1 and Kim “Canna” Chang-dong, the organization announced a few days ago that the team and the player are going to part ways. Now, the player has already found a new home with Team Nongshim RedForce. In addition to Canna, the organization has also brought ex-DWG Kia player Jang “Ghost” Yong-jun and a new head coach into the team.

With these two high-profile players, the organization has now finished its lineup for the 2022 season. Ghost is a three-time LCK winner, and won the Worlds with DWG KIA in 2020. Who is going to replace him at DWG Kia is not yet clear. Canna previously played for T1, though there were recent disputes over his salary and the terms of his contract.

Canna leaves T1 to join Nongshim RedForce

Apparently Canna wanted to leave for a long time. Now he is finally allowed to change teams and goes to Nongshim RedForce. Canna and T1 were not able to agree on a salary for the upcoming season and after several weeks of conflicts, now both parties, have decided to part ways. Ghost and Canna join their new team Nongshim RedForce with Gwak “Bdd” Bo-Seong, Lee “Dread” Jin-Hyeok and Lee “Effort” Sang-Ho.

Gen.G has also completed their coaching staff. The organization has brought in 29-year veteran Go “Score” Dong-bin as its new head coach. He will be assisting the team along with Won “Mafa” Sang-yeon and Kim “Museong” Moo-seong. Score is one of the best junglers in League of Legends and played for KT Rolster from 2015 to 2019. The 29-year-old Korean has also participated in two Worlds and brings plenty of expertise to the team.

Nongshim Redforce complete their roster for next season

Mafa also has a lot of experience; he coached Invictus Gaming for around five years and was a big part of their success. Just like Score, he was also with KT Rolster Bullets – the two even know each other from there. Museong is the youngest one joining Gen.G as a Coach, having started his coaching career at DragonX only two years ago. Nevertheless, Gen.G believes he will stabilize the team significantly.

With a stellar lineup that includes players like Park “Ruler” Jae-hyuk, Han “Peanut” Wang-ho, and Jeong “Chovy” Ji-hoon, among others, plus a pretty capable looking coaching staff, Gen.G’s chances for next season increase tremendously. It looks like they could become very strong favorites next year.
