The Houston Outlaws have announced the signing of flex DPS player Kyle “KSF” Frandanisa, with the American having recently departed the Los Angeles Valiant. The 21-year-old will join the organization ahead of the 2021 Overwatch League season, with an announcement having been made on Twitter on Monday.

Why the Outlaws Made Their Move for KSF

Frandanisa will make the move to the Lone Star state from the West side, having spent over two years in Los Angeles. KSF made his name as one of the Valiant’s most recognizable DPS players, having stepped up on meta-specific heroes in particular. Meanwhile, SSF also represented Team United States at the Overwatch World Cup back in 2019, with the red, white and blue having gone on to claim its first title.

The Houston Outlaws parted company with a large proportion of its roster following a hugely disappointing season in 2020, having finished the regular season with a 6-15 record, which left them in 16th position. It was only fellow DPS player Dante “Danteh” Cruz and former Guangzhou Charge favorite Lee “Happy” Jung-woo that were retained by the Outlaws.

What the Houston Roster Now Looks Like

Elsewhere, ex-Dallas Fuel flex support William “Crimzo” Hernandez has been brought in, alongside Cho “JJANGGU” Myung-heum and Shin “PIGGY” Min-jun, with the former Talon Esports tank duo set to provide some much needed experience for the Outlaws. Danteh is likely to play heroes such as Sombra, Wcho and Tracer, while Happy is expected to be on sniper duty. As a result, the responsibility will be on KSF to take charge of the majority of the projectile heroes during the upcoming Overwatch League campaign.

KSF started his professional career with EnVision Esports, before briefly representing You guys get paid? in 2017. The American has also competed for the Midnight Marauders and Simplicity, helping him to amass total career earnings of almost $100,000. During his time in Los Angeles, KSF won the OWL – Inaugural Season Stage 4 Title Matches, defeating the New York Excelsior 3-1 in the final.
