We brought you the news that Christopher “GeT_RiGhT” Alesund was to retire from the professional CS:GO scene, with it now having been announced that the Swedish superstar has joined Dignitas as a content creator and streamer. On top of this, it appears likely that veteran gamer will make the switch to VALORANT, although he could well still dominate in a host of other titles too.
Will GeT_RiGhT be a Hit in the Streaming Scene?
GeT_RiGhT has already provided a clue as to what fans can expect from his streaming, with his work in this area having seen him attract over 500,000 followers on Twitch. While many expected the Swede to compete professionally in VALORANT, it has now been revealed exactly what his plans are.
The former Ninjas in Pyjamas player has made it clear that content creation and streaming will now be his focus, which he will do under the banner of Dignitas. The Esports organization announced the news via Twitter on January 16, posting: “#Digi isn’t the only legend we brought back in 2021. Welcome home, @GeT_RiGhT!”
What We Can Expect from GeT_RiGhT as a Content Creator & Streamer
GeT_RiGhT is expected to create content surrounding League of Legends, Call of Duty and CS:GO, among other games, with his first stream of 2021 having attracted over 200,000 viewers. Alesund is best known for his time with Ninjas in Pyjamas, where the Swede ranked no.2 in the 2010 and 2011 HLTV standings, as the team dominated the CS:GO scene. GeT_RiGhT ultimately made it to the no.1 spot in both 2013 and 2014.
NiP recorded a 87-map win stream during this time, helping them on the way to securing a win at the ESL One: Cologne 2014. GeT_RiGhT joined Dignitas upon his departure from NiP in September 2019, before being benched a year later. His opening live stream for Dignitas featured highlights of his professional career, as well as an underground bunker. Many fans are already eagerly anticipating what is to come from the Esports legend.
