Esports organization Gen.G has announced the launch of a female VALORANT team, which will be known as Team Bumble. The team will now officially compete under the banner of Gen.G, having been involved in unofficial matches for some time. Some of the players involved were part of the OWA OWA roster that featured in the VALORANT Champions Tour Game Changers event back in March.

The team also took part in the Game Changers Academy and VALORANT Premier Series, with Gen.G having broken the news to fans through the following Tweet: “We can’t bee-lieve it’s finally official! Everyone give a warm welcome to the #GenG #TeamBumble VALORANT roster.”

Who Makes Up the Team Bumble Lineup?

A total of three players have made the switch from OWA OWA to Team Bumble, coming in the shape of Carlee “Carlee” Gress, Hannah “Hannah” Reyes and in-game leader “Tiraye”. Carlee and Hannah have previously been on the books of Gen.G, having played competitive Fortnite for the org, before switching to VALORANT.

Meanwhile, Tiraye is likely to play smoke agents for the team, having played as Astra, Omen, Brimstone and Viper in the past. Hannah will be Bumble’s main Sentinel player, having played the vast majority of ties on Cypher, Killjoy and Sage. Carlee will act as flex Initiator and Duelist, having formerly been a Sova player.

What Roles Will Newcomers to the Team Take Up?

The trio will be joined by “leelee” and “stephanieser”, with the former having good experience within the women’s VALORANT scene. She has previously competed for the likes of SinCere and Infinity Val. Formerly a Killjoy main, it is likely that she will act as Team Bumble’s main Duelist, playing on Phoenix and Jett.

Meanwhile, stephanieser will be the teams’ main Sova pro, with Team Bumble being her first VALORANT team. Team Bumble will compete under the banner of Gen.G during upcoming tournaments. Team Bumble was initially announced back in 2019, in association with dating app, Bumble.

Speaking on the launch, Gen.G General Manager, Nate Stanz, stated that: “By expanding Team Bumble with an all-women VALORANT team, we are laser-focused on finding the best untapped female talent on the planet. We will be integrated into the North American scene quickly, including scrims with and against our current roster. We commit to providing the correct competitive tools for the quickest path to success for all our players.”
