A very interesting leak has just given us a much more complete picture of Intel’s non-K Alder Lake line-up and, needless to say, these processors are more than worth our time and attention! Six different SKUs have been leaked in full, and you can be certain that each and every single one of them is going to pack a punch — assuming you have a good enough aftermarket cooler and fast enough RAM.

Alder Lake has thus far been quite impressive, but its more affordable, non-K models are still nowhere to be found. According to numerous industry insiders, they’ll be announced during CES 2022 and then shipped a few weeks afterwards, so there’s definitely something to look forward to, especially for Intel faithfuls!

These latest leaks are also quite important as they will help sate our curiosity but also provide potential buyers with a more thorough spec sheet to sink their teeth into. There’s a lot of ground to cover, so let’s begin!

Non-K Intel Alder Lake Processors | The Nitty-Gritty

The Core i9-12900 and i7-12700 will feature the same core configuration as their K brethren but will have reduced clock speeds and TDPs. That’s not such a bad thing, considering just how warm top-of-the-line Alder Lake processors can run, even without an applied overclock. The lowered 65W TDP means they’ll be a lot easier to cool down which is obviously a big plus seeing how not everyone has a Noctua NH-12S lying around.

The Core i5-12600 and i5-12400, on the other hand, will feature a 6-core 12-thread design but will not come with any E-cores whatsoever. These Gracemont efficiency cores might not look all too powerful on paper, but we’ve seen just how big of a difference they can make in a wide range of workloads. So, needless to say, we’re mighty interested in seeing just how big of a mark their absence will make, and how well Intel’s Core i5 line-up will be able to compete with AMD’s Ryzen 5600X.

In any case, there’s a lot to look forward to, especially if you’re looking to upgrade your gaming rig in a few months’ time!
