We have already seen a host of transfers and roster changes over recent weeks, with Team SoloMid being the latest Esports team to announce a major acquisition. The hugely experienced Rocco “saf” Morales has signed up at TSM, putting an end to speculation surrounding his future, with a number of organisations having been battling it out for his services.

Saf has most recently been part of the Ghost Gaming Fortnite team, however TSM have invested heavily in the hope that the 18-year-old will lead them to success. Saf has earned a reputation as being one of the most consistent Fortnite players in the world, with the news that he had become a free agent alerting many of the top teams. However, the lure of North American giants TSM was seemingly too good to turn down, with Morales set to join a talented roster that already features Ferrnando, Khanada, MackWood, EmadGG, ZexRow, Commandment and Slappie.

Why Was Saf in Such High Demand?

Seasoned veteran Saf’s Fortnite career kick started at the Summer Skirmish, where he would win Week 3 alongside partner Williams “Zayt” Aubin, who is currently on the NRG roster. The duo also achieved success at the ESL Katowice Royal Offline tournament last year, before finishing in a respectable fourth position at the Fortnite World Cup.

TSM and NRG are among the most competitive Fortnite teams around today, with the former having spent significantly in bringing in Saf, in the hope that his arrival will give them the edge. Meanwhile, they would also have been keen to respond to the signings of UnknownArmy, Clix and Ronaldo by NRG. Saf’s last outing for former team Ghost Gaming was a fitting one, with Morales having won the Tier 1 FNCS: Chapter 2 Season 2 – Grand Finals: NA East alongside his teammates.

What Does Saf’s Arrival Mean for Fortnite?

It is certain that Saf will come up against Zayt at some point, with TSM bound to compete against NRG at some point in the near future. The fact that such names are committing demonstrates that fact that Fortnite is not going anywhere, and while they do not have the biggest roster, TSM are set to be a team competing at the top for the foreseeable future. TSM announced the news on their Twitter and Twitch platforms, exciting fans across the globe as a result of his performances during two years at Ghost Gaming.
