Guild Esports has continued to add to its Fortnite roster, with top-ranked EU player Tai “TaySon” Starcic being the latest pro to sign for the organization. The news was announced on Wednesday, with Guild, unlike many other teams, continuing to invest in the Epic Games battle royale title.

16-year-old TaySon has won consecutive Fortnite Champion Series events, coming in both solo and trio competitions. The Slovenian has recorded career earnings of over $200,000 already, coming from 28 Fortnite tournaments. Announcing the signing via Twitter, Guild posted: TAYSONNNNNNN! The 2x, back-to-back #FNCS champ has arrived ?Welcome to the undisputed king of EU Fortnite @TaysonFN! Our crystal ball says it’s time to turn that 2X into the 3X ??#GuildTaySon #GuildGang

Why TaySon is a Major Acquisition for Guild

Despite his age, TaySon has developed a reputation as being one of the most consistent players in the EU Fortnite scene. Finishing as the no.1 ranked player during the 2019/20 FNCS, the teenager got the better of the likes of MrSavage, Wolfiez and Benjyfishy on more than one occasion during the season.

Speaking upon his arrival at Guild Esports, TaySon stated that: “I’m really proud of how far I’ve come and to be ranked as the number one player in Europe – now I’m ready to take the next step with Guild. I’m determined to make myself into an even better player with the help and support of my new team, and bring home trophies for Guild. You’ll be seeing us take over the league tables again soon, so you better keep watching.”

When Will We See TaySon in Action for Guild?

TaySon will team up with Nikolaj “Flikk” Froslev, Henrik “Hen” McLean and Anas El-Abd at Guild, with the organization currently topping the EU rankings after its win in the Cash Cup last month. It could well be that TaySon competes under the banner of Guild at the FNCS Qualifiers, which get underway on February 5.

Guild Esports Director Grant Rousseau also had his say on the arrival of TaySon, stating that: “2020 was a landmark year for Guild Esports and Fortnite, with our talented roster dominating the competition to make us the current number one Fortnite team in the EU. Signing TaySon shows that we have no plans to slow down in 2021 – we’re ready to take things to another level and cement our position as the Fortnite team to beat. We’re the squad to watch out for this year, and we’re ready for our rivals to try to catch us.”
