North American Esports organisation Luminosity Gaming are set to announce the arrival of Félix “xQc” Lengyel as a streamer, with the French Canadian pro having most recently fulfilled the same role for Sentinels, as well as acting as a substitute for Gladiators Legion. xQc has received a vast amount of interest from Esports fans because of his Valorant and Fall Guys streams, meaning that Luminosity Gaming have done well to acquire his services.

xQc comes with a following of over 3.2 million, with the former professional Overwatch player set to complete his move to Luminosity Gaming over the coming weeks, however it could be just days. While being a veteran of the scene at 24 years of age, a move to Luminosity Gaming is one that should work well for both parties, especially given how popular he has been on Twitch of late.

What Will xQc Bring to Luminosity Gaming?

xQc has gained a huge number of fans over recent months thanks to his streams surrounding Fall Guys, with his viewer counts being particularly impressive. Meanwhile, Valorant, the free-to-play multiplayer tactical first-person shooter developed and published by Riot Games, is also an area in which xQc has been successful, with his streams during the closed beta stage having attracted hundreds of thousands of viewers.

However, Luminosity Gaming will be hoping that the controversy surrounding the streamer is well and truly behind him, with the French Canadian having received banns from Twitch on multiple occasions. This was as a result of xQc displaying NSFW pictures on his live streams, which occurred once in 2019 and twice so far this year. Lengyel also came under fire during his time competing in the Overwatch League, having his account suspended twice for violating the terms and conditions set by Blizzard.

What Else Can We Expect from Luminosity Gaming?

While we are still awaiting for the official announcement of xQc, one signing that has been confirmed is quadriplegic Fortnite player Rocky “RockyNoHands” Stoutenburgh. A fall in 2006 left Stoutenburgh paralysed from the neck down, however he has taken the Fortnite world by storm, playing using a mouth operated joystick. It would not come as a surprise should Luminosity Gaming announce further transfers and roster changes in the coming weeks.
