EXTREMUM is set to return to competitive CS:GO following their acquisition of the former 100 Thieves roster, as well as Hansel “BnTeT” Ferdinand from Gen.G. The Russian organization has also announced the arrival of coach Aleksandar “kassad” Trifunovic, who recently parted company with Cloud9 and has experience of working with 100Thieves.

BnTeT most recently competed under the banner of Gen.G Esports, having previously made his mark with TYLOO. However, with a host of Gen.G’s players having departed for VALORANT, the organization was forced to part company with its roster at the end of last year. Today, it is just Timothy “autimatic” Ta who is without a new team, leaving him inactive with Gen.G.

Why the 100Thieves Roster Was Available

100Thieves only returned to the CS:GO scene back in October 2019, with the org having acquired the Renegades roster following consecutive Major playoff outings. However, the lineup ultimately failed to live up to expectations, having not won a single tournament during its time with 100 Thieves. Aaron “AZR” Ward, Jay “Liazz” Tregillgas and Sean “Gratisfaction” Kaiwai have all joined EXTREMUM from 100 Thieves

Who Will Make Up the EXTREMUM CS:GO Lineup?

With those in charge and the players themselves having voiced their displeasure at competing in the North American scene, the move to EXTREMUM will provide a fresh start in Europe, something which has been demanded for some time now. Aaron “AZR” Ward will take on the role of in-game leader, while AWPer Sean “Gratisfaction” Kaiwai is another well-known player.

Elsewhere, support rifler Jay “Liazz” Tregillgas also features, with BnTeT being joined in the rifling positions by Joakim “jkaem” Myrbostad. The team will also be boosted by the input of Nestor “LETN1” Tanić, who joins EXTREMUM as an analyst and general manager. The Serb is a former CS:GO pro, having last competed under the banner of c0ntact Gaming.
EXTREMUM last competed in CS:GO at the ESEA Cash Cup – Europe: Summer 2020 #2 in August last year, with the organization having finished 3rd/4th at the C-Tier event. However, with a new lineup on board, we could see an upturn in fortunes for the team.
