EX-CS:GO employee from Valve releases cat game

If you want to take a break from exhausting FPS, we now have just the thing for you and that is a small, black cuddly kitten that is sure to tickle out the softer side of hardcore gamers. The game is called Little Kitty, Big City and was created over several years by an ex-employee of Valve who used to be in the CS world.

The game was developed by a small team at Double Dagger Studio and will treat us to cat cuteness next year. Little Kitty, Big City is due out in 2022 and is a new game for PC and consoles. In it, you’re a fluffy little kitten lost in a big Japanese city, and your job is to find your way back home. At least somehow, because we know that cats are all too happy to get distracted by anything on their way…a fish, a mouse, a climbing plant or a trash can.

Big adventures as a cat

Everything becomes a great adventure when you are a little cat. As the protagonist aka the young kitten you can do all sorts of things: Catch birds, secretly steal any leftover food from the inhabitants, climb things and play with simply anything that comes along.

Here is the official description of the game Little Kitty, Big City:

“You are a little kitty lost in the big city! Will you find your way home? Or will you have too much fun along the way? Little Kitty, Big City is a game in which you’ll play a curious little kitten with a big personality who goes on an adventure to find her way home. Explore the city, meet new friends, wear adorable hats and leave more than a little mess wherever you go. Isn’t that what cats do best?”

It looks like you can also complete quests if you want to, talk to other fellow animals, and are able to choose your own wardrobe by wearing colorful hats – which strongly resemble various cats from YouTube videos. Shark cat on a vacuum cleaner anyone? Here’s the game’s trailer for a first taste:

Even more kitty action

Next year, we’ll actually get more kitty action with another game that could be the gritty brother of the colourful, bubbly Little Kitty, Big City, so to speak. The other game is a sci-fi cat adventure called “Stray” and will also be released in 2022. In the game, you are a cat in a cold, urban world where there are android beings instead of humans and you are in contact with a drone called B12.

There, as a brave Ginger kitty, you’ll have to run away from evil creatures every now and then and fight your way through a rather hostile world. Next year seems definitely going to be dominated by some little felines and we can’t wait to play Little Kitty, Big City and conquer the world from a cat’s point of view.
