Guild Esports is showing no signs of slowing down, with the British organization having now announced a partnership with South Korean giants Samsung. The deal is the first of its king for Samsung with a UK Esports organization, demonstrating just how far Guild has gone in a relatively short period of time.

As part of the deal, Samsung will become Guild’s official display partner, with the two parties having agreed an initial 12-month partnership, with the option to extend for another year. The partnership officially begins on June 21, covering both the UK & Ireland.

While the finances of the deal have not been disclosed, 50% of the value will be paid to Guild in the form of equipment for the org’s professionally, academy, streamers and staff members. The other 50% will come as a traditional payment.

What Will Samsung Get From the Deal?

As for Samsung, the multinational conglomerate will hold marketing rights at all Guild facilities, along with their social and digital platforms. This includes all pro players and content creators, as well as fan experiences. It is understood that Samsung will also feature heavily at Guild roadshows.

Speaking on the announcement, Damon Crowhurt, Samsung Electronics UK Display Head, stated that: “This partnership shows our continued commitment to gamers and the wider industry and will offer fans experiences beyond the norm. Historically, we have a long-standing legacy in esports, and we see Guild as the perfect partner to continue this in the U.K. & Ireland. We’re excited to be a part of the Guild family and look forward to building on this momentum and delivering value to the gaming audience.”

What Guild Has Said on the Partnership

Meanwhile, Guild Esports Chief Executive, Kal Hourd, released the following statement on behalf of the organization: “We’re delighted to be partnering with a brand as prestigious as Samsung, further demonstrating a commitment to our audience by aligning with best-in-class brands throughout our partner family. Guild has become the fastest growing esports organisation in Europe and this partnership highlights the quality of brands that Guild is able to attract, and our pipeline of potential new sponsorship deals remains strong,”
