Just recently, Chaos have had to replace their in-game-leader. Now, they have already gotten their first win on the board with the new roster. 100 Thieves put up a solid performance against Team Liquid. The team had surely not anticipated to receive this much opposition, but still Liquid managed to walk away with a narrow victory.

LIQUID 2-1 100 THIEVES

100T had suffered a decisive loss against Evil Geniuses earlier in the league. Now, it was time to go up against Team Liquid. There, they got into the match much better. On Vertigo, they scored a fantastic 13-2 half, quickly converting this into a 16-3 victory. At the end, Justin “jks” Savage stood with 23 kills, whereas Jake “Stewie2k” Yip only had 4 kills to his name.

But now, they had to enter Nuke. Historically, Liquid have performed well on this map and they got a great start here, ending their T side with an 8-7 advantage. As CTs, they had little trouble collecting the remaining rounds. With a 16-8 victory, they headed for Inferno.

There, Liquid immediately jumped on a lead and scored a 9-6 first half. On the T side, they struggled to get rounds on the board. At 15-9, 100 Thieves mounted a comeback. Unfortunately, they couldn’t follow it through completely. Their streak ended just one round shy of overtime, handing the 16-14 victory to Liquid. While this may give another 3 points to Liquid, this should serve as a reminder to them that the rest of the league is not to be underestimated. 100 Thieves are finally getting their act together, which bodes well for their upcoming duel with Chaos.

CHAOS 2-0 GEN.G

After the departure of Joshua “steel” Nissan, Chaos have got a lot of work to do. Anthony “vanity” Malaspina seems to be up to the task, however, as they have now taken down Gen.G for their first victory in EPL.

On Train, Chaos got a big lead during their T half. With an 11-4 scoreline, they headed into their CT side, where they managed to close the map out with 16-10, in spite of a small comeback from Gen.G. The players around Damian “daps” Steele knew how to get going on Mirage, however, as Gen.G quickly got the first 6 rounds on the board. It didn’t take Chaos long to adjust to this, though, and they stormed away with the map. Not giving up a single round, they secured a 16-6 victory and got their first EPL points.

Today, FURIA will have to contest Triumph. Tomorrow, 100 Thieves are facing off with Chaos and later in the week, we will see teams like Evil Geniuses and Cloud9 compete for some sweet EPL points.
