Dota Pro Circuit 2021 Season 1 is about to enter its 4th competitive week. This practically means that we’re halfway through and every team has played either 3 or 4 matches. In some regions, the battle for the Major tickets is highly fierce, while in others it seems to have ended before the tournament even began.

Week 3 Results and Current Standings

The 3rd week of Dota Pro Circuit 2021 Season 1 had quite a few upsets. Big teams such as Nigma, Fnatic, Vici Gaming, and others lost to what should have been weaker opponents. The complete week 3 results and overall standings for each region are the following:

Europe

In Europe, the 3rd competitive week made it clear that Team Secret is still the best team in the region. With victories over Nigma and Liquid, Puppey’s squad climbed to 4 victories. So far, they haven’t lost a single match.

Nigma’s troubles continued with a defeat against Vikin.gg. This should not have happened given that the team is competing with its full roster. But it seems that Vikin.gg is still unpredictably strong at times.

In the other two matches, Alliance and Tundra managed to beat HCE and Liquid respectively. And it’s quite difficult to imagine how Taiga’s team could still finish in the top 4 after that defeat.

  • 1st place: Team Secret: 4 W – 0 L
  • 2nd place: Alliance: 2 W – 1 L
  • 3rd place: OG: 2 W – 1 L
  • 4th place: Tundra Esports: 2 W – 2 L
  • 5th place: Team Nigma: 2 W – 2 L
  • 6th place: Team Liquid: 2 W – 3 L
  • 7th place: Vikin.gg: 1 W – 2 L
  • 8th place: High Coast Esports: 0 W – 4 L

China

EHOME got completely crushed and lost 2 matches during the 3rd week of Dota Pro Circuit 2021 Season 1, losing almost all chances of a Major participation. Apart from that, Invictus Gaming and Team Aster continued their winning streaks, MagMa won the battle of the defeated against LBZS, and Elephant defeated PSG.LGD.

  • 1st place: Team Aster: 3 W – 0 L
  • 2nd place: Invictus Gaming: 3 W – 0 L
  • 3rd place: Vici Gaming: 3 W – 1 L
  • 4th place: PSG.LGD: 2 W – 2 L
  • 5th place: Elephant: 2 W – 2 L
  • 6th place: EHOME: 1 W – 3 L
  • 7th place: Team MagMa: 1 W – 3 L
  • 8th place: LBZS: 0 W – 4 L

Southeast Asia

Fnatic lost their first match of the tournament after having a 1 – 0 lead over BOOM. This was a big upset, because the two teams are not close in strength. And as a consequence, Fnatic’s qualification to the Major is now uncertain.

In the other matches, Execration lost against Vice, T1 defeated BOOM, Neon won its 4th consecutive match against Execration, and TNC beat T1. With the exception of Neon, the whole region looks like a big rock-paper-scissors game.

  • 1st place: Neon Esports: 4 W – 0 L
  • 2nd place: Fnatic: 2 W – 1 L
  • 3rd place: TNC Predator: 2 W – 2 L
  • 4th place: T1: 2 W – 2 L
  • 5th place: BOOM Esports: 2 W – 2 L
  • 6th place: Vice Esports: 1 W – 2 L
  • 7th place: 496 Gaming: 1 W – 3 L
  • 8th place: Execration: 1 W – 3 L

CIS

The fate of the CIS tournament was pretty much decided in the 3rd competitive week. Na’Vi won two matches and Virtus.pro defeated empire. Both teams climbed to 4 wins. The next best team after them has 2 wins and 2 losses. With just 3 matches left to be played, the situation is practically unchangeable. VP and Na’Vi will 99% go to the Major.

  • 1st place: Virtus.pro: 4 W – 0 L
  • 2nd place: Natus Vincere: 4 W – 0 L
  • 3rd place: Team Spirit: 2 W – 2 L
  • 4th place: Live to Win: 2 W – 2 L
  • 5th place: NoTechies: 1 W – 2 L
  • 6th place: EXTREMUM: 1 W – 3 L
  • 7th place: Team Empire: 1 W – 3 L
  • 8th place: Team Unique: 0 W – 3 L

North America

As was expected, the battle in North America is taking place mainly between Evil Geniuses and Quincy Crew. What’s interesting is that Undying and Sadboys also have a real chance to qualify for the Major. But they will need to win some key matches if they want to steal QC’s spot.

During the 3rd week of Dota Pro Circuit 2021 Season 1, Undying and 4 Zoomers defeated Black N Yellow, Sadboys won against 5MM, Quincy Crew crushed A-Team, and Evil Geniuses easily won against the 3rd best competitor in the region, Undying.

  • 1st place: Evil Geniuses: 4 W – 0 L
  • 2nd place: Quincy Crew: 3 W – 0 L
  • 3rd place: Undying: 3 W – 1 L
  • 4th place: Sadboys: 2 W – 1 L
  • 5th place: 4 Zoomers: 2 W – 2 L
  • 6th place: Black N Yellow: 1 W – 3 L
  • 7th place: 5ManMidas: 1 W – 2 L
  • 8th place: A-Team: 0 W – 4 L

South America

In South America, beastcoast climbed to 4 victories while SG e-sports won 2 matches and is now sitting in 2nd place. Everything else is of little importance.

  • 1st place: beastcoast: 4 W – 0 L
  • 2nd place: SG e-sports: 3 W – 1 L
  • 3rd place: Team Unknown: 2 W – 2 L
  • 4th place: Thunder Predator: 2 W – 2 L
  • 5th place: NoPing e-sports: 1 W – 2 L
  • 6th place: Infamous: 1 W – 2 L
  • 7th place: Latam Defenders: 1 W – 3 L
  • 8th place: EgoBoys: 1 W – 3 L
