Nicolai “dev1ce” Reedtz has signed for Ninjas in Pjyamas following his departure from Astralis, with the deal having been negotiated by the Unsigned Group. The talent agency has made its first step into the Esports scene with the deal, with CS:GO pro dec1ce having made the move to NiP in what is understood to be one of the biggest deals in history.

Why Dev1ce Joined NiP & The Unsigned Group

The Unsigned Group will now look afte dev1ce on a permanent basis, including the Dane’s branding, licensing and endorsement deals. Speaking on his arrangement with Unsigned, dev1ce stated that:

“Esports has been considered the Wild West in player management for too long. It’s been accepted as the norm: we are a partnership at Unsigned, working together to create real and interesting opportunities in the esports space. I’m really excited to be working together and for people to see our plans and for others to be on the journey with us.”

Unsigned is a talent group co-owned by Coldplay’s Guy Berryman, with CEO Gavin Myall having said the following on their entry into the world of Esports: “Unsigned has always had talent at the centre of what we do. The phenomenal and rapid growth of esports has not been mirrored in the way in which players and brands in the sport are represented. Unsigned want to address that.

“Player management and the IP that is created with and around them is paramount to building a long-term career in the business: gaining access to the sport, the clubs, players and the fans is essential for brands on a global scale. Dev1ce is a partner and a key signing for Unsigned. I couldn’t be happier.”

Who Will Dev1ce Join at Ninjas in Pyjamas

Dev1ce spent five years with Astralis, winning four Majors in the process. However, the 25-year-old has now signed a three-year deal with NiP, where he will become the only non-Swedish player on their roster. Dev1ce will join Fredrik “REZ” Sterner, Nicolas “Plopski” Gonzalez Zamora, Hampus “hampus” Poser and Erik “ztr” Gustafsson, along with coach Bjorn “THREAT” Pers.
