It was announced this week that Esports merchandising company We Are Nations are to partner with Brazilian Esports organisation Good Crazy, who have made a name for themselves in part due to their association with Dani Alves. The former Barcelona star and Brazilian international founded the team alongside S2V Digital Sports early in 2020, with their FIFA 20 roster set to take shape in the coming months.

Good Crazy kicked off a qualifying process in order to begin their search for FIFA players, while September will see the team hosting similar events for PES players. While football titles are the primary focus at present, Good Crazy are certainly not looking to stop there, with ventures into the world of League of Legends, Fortnite, VALORANT and even Counter Strike: Global Offensive believed to be around the corner for the newly formed team.

How the Involvement of Alves Can Lift Good Crazy

After the deal with We Are Nations was announced, CEO of the merchandising company, Patrick Mahoney, could not hide his delight, while also stating the following regarding the involvement of such a star name:

I think Dani’s successful career, and more importantly, his infectious positive view on life is the perfect base for an esports team. When you mix esports with a traditional sports success story and a positive, uplifting message, you get a brand voice that will resonate with many. We couldn’t be more thrilled to be part of this project.

We Are Nations are expected to help launch the first Good Crazy gaming jersey in September, while additional products should be available online in the near future too. We Are Nations have outstanding experience within the industry, having worked alongside the likes of G2 Esports and Cloud 9 in the past. The additional of Good Crazy to their roster shows that they are showing no signs of slowing down in this area, with 37-year-old Alves, who currently plays for Sau Paulo in his native Brazil, having also had his say on the partnership.

Alves commented that “From the beginning that S2V; our project partner at Good Crazy and a specialist in the sector, asked us to collaborate with We Are Nations. We have seen that we are with the right partner to carry out a successful project to achieve all our goals.
“I’m very excited about this project. It is an excellent complement to my foundation project in Bahia focused on kids. I believe always to be with the best, and we have seen We Are Nations as a top partner within the gaming industry.”
