Woxic builds turkish Megateam feat. Xantares and ex-alternate attax signs with cowana The Ex- Cloud9 and mousesports AWPler Özgür “woxic” Eker and Ismailcan “XANTARES” Dörtkardeş will be representing their own organization together with 3 other players. The whole organisation is completely player-created.

In the last few months woxic has been secretly creating a new, self-founded turkish mega team with XANTARES, 23-year old Buğra “Calyx” Arkın and Ömer “imoRR” Karataş, who is the youngest one in the lineup. They are known as some of the best turkish players. To complete the new team, they acquired the Jordanian Issa “ISSAA” Murad who is the only player of non-turkish descent. ISSAA and woxic already know each other from their time with HellRaisers between 2017 and 2019.

Team without organisation

In the beginning the squad had searched for an organisation but soon made the decision to build their own structure. The team is going to compete under the name Eternal Fire. Their goal is to communicate in Turkish, and apparently ISSAA, who was just released by OG, is already busy taking Turkish lessons. Until he is fluent in the new language, they will stick with english.

XANTARES, imoRR, and ISSAA were all released from their teams previously. ImoRR was with Sangal before he made the switch to Eternal Fire. A few weeks ago when Nicklas “gade” Gade was signed german organisation BIG, XANTARES stepped down from the active roster.

Last year XANTARES had originally signed another one-year contract with BIG, so he should have stayed the rest of 2021, but plans changed and BIG allowed the turkish Player to leave so he could join the almost-completely-turkish lineup. During his time with BIG XANTARES was very successful and earned the MVP medal from DreamHack Open Summer 2020 Europe. While Xantares was with BIG he won the prestigious cs_summit 6 as well as the DreamHack Masters Spring last year.

Together with Xantares, BIG was leading the international rankings as team number one for a whole two months.

Xantares is going to lead the team

The teams coach is going to be 27-year old Timur “bishop” Şengül while XANTARES will take the role of the in-game leader because he is the oldest player in the lineup and has collected the most experience.

Eternal Fire is going to test the waters with a few smaller CS:GO events and will try to participate in some qualifiers in the hope to compete at bigger tournaments. We are excited to see how the new founded project is going to perform.

News from the german scene

There are also a lot of changes happening in the german CS_GO scene. In a surprise move the lineup of Alternate-aTTaX has been dropped by their organization. Nonetheless the players decided to stick together and have now all signed with cowana. The lineup consists of PANIX, ScrunK, kRYSTAL and Krimbo. They are the four players that still remain from the latest squad.

28-year old veteran Stefan “stfN” Seier, a former member of the team who recently took a break from playing, is now set to return to fill the spot of David “prosus” Hesse. prosus played for BIG academy previously and was now signed by Fnatic Rising.

Last month ALTERNATE aTTaX released their whole team after a period of rather poor performance that laasted throughout the whole year. They just couldn’t find their flow and most recently finished last place in the ESEA Premier Season 37. Ex-Alternate aTTaX aka now cowana is going to compete in the Season 38 of ESEA Advanced.

For now Eternal Fire has the following lineup :
Issa “ISSAA” Murad
Buğra “Calyx” Arkın
Ömer “imoRR” Karataş
Özgür “woxic” Eker
Ismailcan “XANTARES” Dörtkardeş
Timur “bishop” Şengül (coach)

and cowana has following line-up to compete with in the future:
Stefan “stfN” Seier
Kevin “kRYSTAL” Amend
Karim “Krimbo” Moussa
Robin “ScrunK” Röpke
Max “PANIX” Hangebruch
