CS:GO Majors always hire incredibly talented people. Just as the players are great at competing, the hosts, analysts, and casters are great at highlighting the beauty and brilliance of the action. If you follow CS:GO events regularly, you’re probably familiar with many of these persons and know just how good they are. For some of them, such as Richard Lewis, this might be their last event ahead of retirement. Although, to be honest, it’s a shame that people want to leave the industry right when they’re needed most. Certainly, nobody’s irreplaceable, but in some cases, it’s really hard to find someone who’s just as competent and as passionate about the game.

The commentators come in pairs, which aren’t mentioned but you can probably guess them already: Anders + Semmler, Machine + SPUNJ, James + ddk, and moses + Sadokist. Just a few years ago, moses used to be either on the analyst desk or pairing with Anders (because Semmler had taken a short break to join The Overwatch League), while Sadokist used to cast together with HenryG. Another hugely talented person who’s missing at this Major is Pansy.

On the analyst desk we’ll have a potent cocktail made up of people like YNk, who like to take the serious approach and rarely go for the risky joke, and Thorin, who has the confidence to always go for it, consequences be damned. Some people might be annoyed by his style but you have to admit it, the group as a whole really knows how to keep you on the edge of your seat for the entire duration of the show.

That being said, you should definitely watch the tournament if you want to enjoy the first CS:GO Major after a 2-year break. The ongoing pandemic has ruined several opportunities but this time, PGL and the Swedes have decided to put an end to the madness and give us two hyped weeks of Counter-Strike. The event starts on October 26th.
