As the organization recently announced, the contract of Team Liquid’s Canadian CS:GO player Keith “NAF” Markovic has been extended for another three years. NAF is expected to stay with the team until 2024. Previously, there were some rumors that NAF and Michael “Grim” Wince will no longer be with Team Liquid next season and that the new team would only include Jonathan “EliGE” Jablonowski, but this rumor has now turned out to be only half true.

In fact, it was already known after the BLAST Premier Final that NAF would be back with Team Liquid because he performed exceptionally well at the tournament, averaging a 1.15 rating. During his three years with Liquid, NAF won numerous international tournaments, including the second Intel Grand Slam season, IEM Sydney, the ninth season of ESL Pro League, DreamHack Masters Dallas, and ESL One Cologne in 2019, and also earned four MVP awards.

NAF stays at Team Liquid

The 24-year-old Canadian’s contract has now been extended and is expected to join his fellow colleague EliGE in Liquid’s new lineup. Before the BLAST Premier Fall Final, Jake “Stewie2K” Yip already confirmed that the organization is quite likely to make some lineup changes at the end of the year. Liquid failed to qualify for the PGL Stockholm Major Playoffs earlier this month. It was a huge disappointment for the players and it became clear that some changes are going to be made in the line-up soon.

It is not yet known what is going to happen with the rest of the line-up. Apparently Gabriel “FalleN” Toledo and Stewie2K are weighing their options right now. What will happen for Grim in the future remains unclear. And of course Team Liquid needs some new players to fill the lines. As we reported recently, Liquid and their former captain Nicholas “nitr0” Cannella are in talks right now. The 26 year old American is considering to return to his ex-team and ex-game after a short excursion to VALORANT. At the moment, however, nothing is confirmed.

Is shox joining Team Liquid?

Apparently, French player Richard “shox” Papillon is also expected to join the organization. The 29-year-old professional player was previously with Team Vitality. In addition, Team Liquid seems to have an eye on Brazilian player Vinicius “VINI” Figueiredo, who is currently still under contract with FURIA. At the moment, all this – except for NAF’s contract extension – are just rumors that have not been officially confirmed yet.

In the end we have to be patient to see who will join Liquid and what the line-up for the next season will look like. For more CS:GO news you can always check out our TikTok, Twitter and Youtube channel, where we also provide you with daily news about Esports!
