Stanislaw takes a break from CS & Evil Geniuses. Canadian CS:GO Pro Peter “Stanislaw” Jarguz has decided to take a temporary break from professional competition and will not return to Europe for EPL Season 14.

Until he returns, coach Damian “daps” Steele will take his role as in-game leader. For years Evil Geniuses’ lineup has consistently struggled with burnout. After winning ESL One New York in 2019, the team went downhill as players felt heavily burned out from all the traveling.

Now the burnout issues seem to be back, as the 27-year-old claimed he was “not mentally ready for more international travel and competition” after the team’s long stay in Europe before the break. He will take an extended time off starting Aug. 15 and is going to spend the time in Canada.

“Instead of overworking myself mentally and physically, I plan to spend the next few weeks at home in full expectation of rejoining my team in Europe before the BLAST Premier Fall,” Stanislaw said.

That of all things the IGL is taking a break is not easy for Evil Geniuses, especially since they only managed to finish last in the BLAST Premier Spring Final. The season also looked rather bleak for the North American-European team.

Stanislaw is expected to rejoin the team at the BLAST Premier Fall in September, with coach Damian “daps” Steele filling his spot during his break.

Evil Geniuses will compete in ESL Pro League Season 14 with the following lineup:
Vincent “Brehze” Cayonte
Tsvetelin “CeRq” Dimitrov
Owen “oBo” Schlatter
Michał “MICHU” Müller
