In what will come as welcome news to CS:GO fans, Olof “olofmeister” Kajbjer is to return to FaZe Clan’s active roster, with the Swedish veteran having taken an extended break following the BLAST Premier: Spring Groups 2021. The organization has announced that the 29-year-old will compete in the upcoming BLAST Premier Spring.

The news puts to bed rumours of olofmeister retiring completely, with the Swede having previously hinted that his playing days were over. There was also talk of the veteran switching to VALORANT, however it is now clear that the former Fnatic man is not done with CS:GO just yet.

Why olofmeister’s Return is Good News for Faze Clan

Olofmeister joined FaZe back in 2017, having been a key part of their success since. However, having taken regular breaks from competing due to personal issues, his future appeared to be up in the air. News of his return was broken by teammate Russel “Twistzz” Van Dulken, who posted the following message on Twitter: “Really happy to have more time playing with @olofmeister and excited to play some officials soon again.”

Olofmeister is now set to feature for FaZe on a more permanent basis, which will come as welcome news following the departure of Marcelo “coldzera” David. Twistzz believes that olofmeister “does his role to perfection”, with it remaining to be seen as to how his return will impact the team.

How the FaZe Clan CS:GO Roster Looks Ahead of the BLAST Premier Spring

He will return at the BLAST Premier Spring Final alongside Finn “karrigan” Andersen, Havard “rain” Nygaard, Helvijs “broky” Saukants and Twistzz. The rifler will likely keep his place in the team for the foreseeable future, with FaZe hoping that his return can bring some much needed stability to also. Despite karrigan’s arrival, the team has struggled, however their five-man roster now looks significantly stronger.

Faze recently dropped out of the top 30 in the world CS:GO standings, however the return of one of the best lurker’s around should see them climb the rankings once again. The BLAST Premier Spring gets underway on June 15, with a prize fund of $450,000
