It looks like Nicholas “nitr0” Cannella will be returning to CS:GO and play with his former Team Liquid. nitr0 has been with Team Liquid before, but left them to reorient himself when he decided to join the 100 Thieves. Not only did he change his team, he also changed the whole game and went from CS:GO to playing VALORANT.

Apparently he got bored at VALORANT and wants to switch back to CS:GO. If nitr0 is really going to play for Team Liquid again, he will meet his former colleague, 24 year old American Pro Jonathan “EliGE” Jablonowski. With EliGE, nitr0 celebrated great success at Liquid, winning a total of nine international LAN tournaments. Also Liquid seems to be interested in shox.

Liquid’s new lineup

EliGE is probably going to be the only player from Liquid’s active lineup to remain with the newly formed team. Apparently Jake “Stewie2K” Yip and Gabriel “FalleN” are thinking about moving to another lineup because it was a huge disappointment for Liquid that they didn’t make it to the PGL Stockholm Major Playoffs. 21-year-old Michael “Grim” Wince and Canadian pro Keith “NAF” Markovic will reportedly not be playing with Liquid again next season. It is unsure though what is next for the two players.

And there is another candidate who might join Liquid soon. If the rumors are true, 29 year old Frenchman Richard “shox” Papillon is also in the process of negotiating with his future organization, Team Liquid. shox is a very experienced player who has played for G2, VeryGames, EnVyUs, and most recently Team Vitality, among others.

Is VINI coming to Liquid?

Apparently the organization is also planning to recruit Brazilian player Vinicius “VINI” Figueiredo to join the lineup next season. For now, VINI is still under contract with FURIA. The potential fifth player for Liquid’s new CS:GO lineup has yet to be determined. The last member will probably depend on what position nitr0 will take in the lineup and whether he will play as Rifler or AWPer.

Depending on that, the organization would then have to look for a suitable player for the last vacant position. At the moment all these rumors are not confirmed, but we will update you on the situation for the CS:GO line-up for Team Liquid as soon as we have more information.
