CS:GO – HUNDEN will not be preset at IEM Cologne

HUNDEN will not be preset at IEM Cologne. Instead of HUNDEN the Danish team will be accompanied by two other staff members. As the Danish organization announced, the coach Nicolai “HUNDEN” Petersen will not be present at the IEM Cologne. Instead of HUNDEN, the team will be supported by Mental and Performance Coach Troels “robl” Robl and Physical Coach Kasper Straube.

Why would HUNDEN miss IEM Cologne

The reason for HUNDEN’s absence was not given by Heroic. It could be possible that there is a connection with Astralis. HUNDEN is currently a hot candidate for the coaching position for Astralis, which is currently still held by Danny “zonic” Sørensen. Zonic’s contract expires on December 31, 2021, and it is possible that he will move to another team.

Heroic’s in-game leader Casper “cadiaN” Møller says the team is very happy to have Troels in the starting lineup and said “This is the same lineup we had when we won the Pro League, which gives us a lot of confidence. Heroic is well prepared and our whole team is mega excited to be back on LAN!”

HUNDEN is a highly respected international coach and quickly led Heroic to success after he started coaching the Danish team in April 2020. Among other things, he helped the team win ESL One Cologne 2020 Europe. Just one day after the team’s victory though, it was announced that HUNDEN was suspended by ESL for 8 months for using the spectator bug. HUNDEN was reinstated by Heroic after his suspension.
